1. ABC A BETTER CHOICE - Inspiring motivational sessions which use the arts to touch the heart of thousands of students across Texas annually, inspiring them to make better choices regarding drug use and peer pressure.
2. LEADERSHIP ACADEMY - A Full 1 year program designed with a Leadership Curriculum that will help our students build quality character and learn how to make better choices in life. Group dynamics and individual lesson plans are instructed throughout this 18 week course. Also annual retreats teaching leadership skills not available in public schools. Leadership Academy is at the center of Art 2 Heart. Our key is Values and Virtues in their proper places "build great leaders"
3. ART CAMP - A two-week high intensity summer program teaching the performing arts to interested children. The camp ends with an on stage musical production open to the community. Throughout these 2 weeks student are once again challenged and fused with the need to develop quality character. Even in this portion we are developing leaders…."one stage at a time"
4. COMMUNITY SERVICE - Twice a year our students collaborate with the Senior Citizens and local University to give back and learn through the giving. We call it service learning. Our students spend time with the Seniors and learn about the past and how life challenges forge our character. They also pick projects within the community to go and assist or serve. They also give their gift by taking our Musicals to other children who are less fortunate and unable to afford good Theater in children's homes for the abused or less fortunate. This is what we call "responsible leadership"
Monday -Saturday kids between the ages of 7-13 meet after school in the Art 2 Heart building, get a snack, circle up in mushroom chairs, put on crazy goofy hats and talk about their day. After a few minutes of listening, sharing, and peer advice we get ready for the REAL FUN…students get a chance to learn a variety of Artistic and Theater skills and learn how to develop the necessary skills in becoming positive leaders.
Art 2 Heart has developed the unique blend of character building while teaching the arts. It is our strong belief that every individual has the inate talents and gifts to help them pursue and complete their purpose in life. With the correct guidance and patience we are developing leaders "one stage at a time"
Our seasoned Instructors and Teachers come from a variety of background of working with children in the private and public schools. It is a prerequisite that they have what we call the "powerful P's" the profession and the passion to reach this generation.
We keep a limited small number so that we can focus on fulfilling our goals and mission of helping young people to integrate their…Talents and Virtu res into living and leading productive responsible lives.
What makes us different from any ordinary after school program? Our motto of
